Early 1990s • Sterling Navajo “Ranger” Belt Buckle by H.Morgan
Harry Morgan (1947-2008) was a well know Navajo silversmith who won many awards and was highly regarded in his art.
Harry Morgan was a highly collectible, award-winning Navajo master silversmith whose works have been internationally recognized. His jewelry is often created from stamps he made or inherited from family members. This buckle is an excellent example of this. He began making and celebrating jewelry at a very young age in the 1960's. He used only natural stones and prided himself on the "bigness, boldness" and traditional design of his work. He was inspired to create jewelry in the "old pawn" style by his mother. Sadly, the world lost Harry Morgan in 2008 but his wonderful creations live on.
